windmueller
Dear WASP team, when using WASP 11 it is not possible to me to calculate wind/energy for hub heights >200m. Is there a possibility to calculate it anyway? In WASP 10 it was possibleRegards Link to comment
Mark Kelly
Hello, have you tried setting the maximum wind-atlas height (standard height #5) to the desired extrapolation height? Link to comment
windmueller
Hi MarkThanks, but it is not possible to enter a number >200.So the problem remains.RegardsS Link to comment
Mark Kelly
Oops--I recall now that we still don't allow z>200m, because we have not yet released an updated stability/extrapolation treatment for this regime. However, we have implemented a number of "tall wind profile" forms now in the code and validated them for numerous sites. I expect the next release in (early) 2016; it includes geostrophic-shear and height-dependent influences in this "tall" regime. Link to comment
