MattiLindroth
Hello all,We are now ready to release WAsP Climate Analyst (WaCA) 3.0 beta 1.EDIT (2014-05-13):* Renewed the download link the the newest build #42 which has some fixed bugs for file structure detection, reading and a few minor UI enhancements (tooltip texts).New features:* In the WaCA 3.0 we have completely removed the old protocols and protocol editors, and instead try to automatically detect the wind speed and direction columns from the data. Detection is primarily based on the headers and secondarily on the data. The data is expected to be in SI units for automatic detection from data.* Automatic detection of changed data files and automatic re-import.* Supports importing from multiple files to multiple heights in one import batch * Selection of time ranges which are to be used in the Omwc and Oewc analysisOther notes: * The WaCA 2.x project files are not compatible with 3.0 or vice versa.* Some of the old data export file types are currently missing but will be added later on.* You can still export Omwc and Oewc files to be used in WAsP directly.Installation instructions:The installation can be run on top of existing WAsP Climate Analyst 2.xNo need to uninstall the old WaCA before installing. The installer will install also the latest Climate Analyst 2.1 as well as the 3.0 Beta 1.) Download the installer from this link: http://wasptechnical.dk/Services/Redirect.aspx?token=83ab63e1-1af6-4397-92e2-c9bbce29d2002.) Run the installer and follow the stepsUsage:* Create a new empty project* Right click on the treeview on top of 'Untitled site' and select 'Import data set...'* Select a file (or many files of similar structure)* Check that the detected channels are correct, click next* The data is being read in, when this is done click next* Now verify the data treatment values (calm thresholds, discretisation widths, upper and lower bounds etc..) and click next when ready* Now select the wind speed and wind direction pairs which you want to import into your project by drag-dropping channels to heights. You can create new heights by right-clicking with your mouse on the site- node.* When you have at least 1 valid speed - direction pairing done, you can import it by clicking "Finish"- button.Final notes:Please if you find any bugs, problems, files that do not work or other issues you can report them to this forum or directly at email: matti.lindroth@wasptechnical.dkHope you enjoy it :)Best regards,Matti Lindroth Link to comment
MattiLindroth
Hello,We have now made a new build of WaCA 3 with some fixed bugs and added support for more data file types. We also enhanced the data type estimation for data files without headers to indicate column data types. You can download the latest build from here: http://wasptechnical.dk/Services/Redirect.aspx?token=81588d0b-7616-4948-b0d9-f1fa76d2a190We are still shipping WaCA 2 alongside and we are still running on Beta due to lack of polishing and testing. I'd be happy to hear some feedback on WaCA 3. You can post it here or you can email me directly to address: matti.lindroth@wasptechnical.dkBest regards,Matti Lindroth Link to comment
