GSwan
Hi All,Any advice on creation of roughness vectors in SAGA GIS or other GIS softwares? Is this something WAsP map editor is capable of doing?I'm working on relatively simple terrain with bodies of water, fielded areas, and wooded areas, would like to input the various region roughness values.Any help is great and appreciated. Thanks Link to comment
Duncan
WAsP Map Editor can certainly do this. Have you checked the help file? Search for 'digitize'. Link to comment
jfcorbett
You can do this in WAsP Map Editor... That's what WME is for! Turn on digitizing (in the Map image window, Tools|Digitizing|Enable digitizing). File|Load a background map if you have one. Another option is to do your roughness contouring on Google Earth, if you feel comfortable using the images available on GH. Make polygons (or paths) and save them as *.kml. With a bit of text file or XML manipulation, the contours in the .kml can be converted to a file readable by WME (e.g. .bna, or even .map). Once in WME, convert from Lat-Lon to the appropriate projection. Good luck Link to comment
GSwan
Thanks for the help.Hadn't realized WME had a separate .chm help file! Link to comment
