A Remirez Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I would like to know how the program WAsP calculates the upflow. Does it base the calculation on the elevations in all directions and then fit a least‑squares regression line? Thanks Ana
Morten Posted March 6 Posted March 6 The traditional WAsP flow model (IBZ) does not report upward flow calculations, but the CDF model does. In a WAsP project using CFD solutions, the Site Effects panel in the site view includes a column (Incl) that reports the flow inclination angles at hub height for each sector. These results are extracted from CFD solutions for 36 wind directions. You can study these solutions using the WAsP CFD result viewer under Tools in the main WAsP menu. The LINCOM flow model of WAsP Engineering program can also calculate upflow.
